Council discusses best use of civil case settlement funds

Road repairs, overtime costs and technology upgrades were just some of the suggestions from Lancaster County Council members on how to use a windfall from a recently settled civil suit.

Council discussed the newfound funds at its Monday, Oct. 22, meeting after receiving a letter from 6th Circuit Solicitor Doug Barfield about an award received through a civil case between the state of South Carolina and mortgage broker LendingTree LLC.
