Lancaster County Council will discuss the future of the Pleasant Hill Fire Department at its meeting on Monday.
The Lancaster County Fire Commission, which is made up of representatives from the 25 fire departments in the county, recently recommended to close the Pleasant Hill Fire Department.
County Administrator Steve Willis said the commission, which makes rules and regulations for the county’s fire service, determined that the Pleasant Hill station was not in compliance with county standards.
