County Council will vote on a $5.4 million bond proposal to buy 18 new fire trucks and other fire equipment for the county during a special meeting Monday night.
Monday night's agenda includes a resolution declaring intent to buy the fire trucks through general obligation bonds. Another resolution council will consider authorizes the purchase of eight fire engines, eight rescue trucks and two tankers.
The $5.4 million bond would pay for eight trucks for county fire departments, plus $445,200 to buy 140 air-tank units and spare air cylinders for firefighters.
