In three recent opinion letters, two men identified themselves as non-partisan independent thinking men who actually are liberal Democrat supporters proven by their use of Democrat talking points.
Another man identified himself as a life long Democrat because his parents were. All truly independent thinking men. I, along with a few other men mentioned, were called neo-cons which would have been true about me 44 years ago. I was a crowd following-war protesting Democrat until I got blind-sided by reality when I dropped out of a university. My dad removed me from the dole and life happened.
Liberals argue that quintessential big GovCo programs like – but not limited to massive involvement in the housing finance issue, welfare, EPA imposition of a carbon tax, raising taxes to support more government, wealth redistribution, birth control demands, abortion of viable babies, Energy Department, Education Department etc. – are just simply good government. Those elites know best or so they think. Proverbs 21:2 reminds us that the ways of a man is right in his own eyes.
Like any so-called unfunded war, we have lost the war on poverty and need to withdraw. It has cost more than any other undeclared war. Our Democrat-sponsored war on poverty and Great Society has created a dependancy system that has destroyed personal initiative and ambition nationwide. The welfare system encouraged, actually demanded, fathers to abandon their families to guarantee the family’s eligibility in the welfare program.
Paul, in a letter to the Thessalonians, mentioned the Occupy Thessalonica Crowd who were showing up for the churches’ daily food distribution for the widows and those who could not work ( 2 Thessalonians 3:9-12 ). People have always showed up for free stuff and many who could work, would not work. Paul said those busybodies should not eat free food but must get their own bread to eat.
Today about 53 percent of Americans are supporting 47 percent with benefits. Granted many of them are in true need, but most will not work because the Democrat welfare system punishes them for working. Oh and they also vote Democrat.
We are all partisan. One side is right and one is wrong on most all issues. My question for the liberal life-long Democrats are, why are you still on that team ? Is it because the Democratic party is the party of slavery, segregation, the KKK, Jim Crow Laws, welfare, abortion, special rights for homosexuals, higher taxes on everyone, nonsupport of school choice or faith-based education. How can we find common ground on these issues? If one is truly non-partisan, what is wrong with the conservative policies that I support? Those three letters mentioned many problem issues, but did not have any solutions except to be a Democrat. My conservative opinions propose solutions to some problems.
Are you coming over to the right side? I am already there.
