ComForcare Senior Services has been selected as the preferred provider for Care Management Services for the Charlotte metro area for the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The Mid-Atlantic Chapter serves 7,400 people living with multiple sclerosis in South Carolina and the western portion of North Carolina.
ComForcare Senior Services, headquartered in Bloomfield Hills, Mich., has offices nationally and is one of the largest and fastest-growing home care agencies in the country. The Charlotte office, owned and operated by Phil Koch, certified senior adviser, is one of the largest home care agencies in the region. ComForcare Senior Services will be working closely with the National Multiple Sclerosis chapter to provide comprehensive in-home assessments to help people living with MS access community resources.
ComForcare will be also be a resource to the chapter for respite care, which supports caregivers in their efforts to keep loved ones at home as long as possible. Their services will be available in Charlotte, Gastonia, Lake Norman, Mooresville, Concord, Kannapolis, Monroe, Rock Hill, Fort Mill, Lancaster and York.
“We are fortunate to have found a depth of experience in the ComForcare nursing staff that will help us reach into the community when our clients need more intensive help to find the resources and maintain their independence,” said Susan Jordan, vice president of chapter programs for the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
“We are obviously very pleased with this partnership opportunity,” Koch said. “We will work with the programs and services staff to ensure that people living with MS receive a high level of care and effective services.”
The ComForcare nursing staff will receive specialized training on multiple sclerosis and how to best serve the needs of people with MS.
ComForcare Senior Services is a state-licensed in-home care agency in North Carolina. It is also a provider for both Medicaid and Community Assistance Program (CAP) within the state and the Charlotte metro market.
