The theme for this year’s Veterans Day parade and program is “Honoring Veterans Past and Present.” This year’s parade is Nov. 5.
Lineup is at 9 a.m. and the parade will begin at 10 a.m. The route will be down Main Street to the American Legion Building, where the program will take place.
Those attending the program can use the Market Street entrance to the fairgrounds for parking. The program is always a special event as we honor all veterans.
The parade and program honors veterans of Lancaster and surrounding counties, so we would like all veterans, family members, churches and civic organizations to participate and support the parade and program.
You can drive in your own vehicle, ride a float or come out and stand on the sidewalk and wave your flag proudly.
If you or your group would like to participate in the parade, please stop by the Veterans Affairs Office in the Lancaster County Administration Building on Main Street to pick up an entry form. Deadline to return the form is Oct. 22.
For details, call (803) 283-2469 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
We look forward to seeing everyone in their red, white and blue.
Robin A. Helms,
Veterans Affair officer
