Club seeks to buy Bruin statue for LHS

-A A +A

We are writing on behalf of the Lancaster High School Junior Civitans Club. As you may know, Junior Civitans is an international club which provides services to the community in which it is located.
As Junior Civitans, we try to make a positive difference through our involvement in the community. This year, as part of our ongoing efforts to beautify the Lancaster High School campus, our club plans to purchase a specially carved wooden Bruin about 12 feet tall to be placed in the statue garden located beside the gymnasium entrance.
This is phase two of our efforts to improve the grounds at Lancaster High School. Last year, the club made numerous improvements to the public areas at Lancaster High School including plants, trees and new structures.
At this time, we are seeking financial support from the community for this project. Our club hopes to raise $5,000 this year to support this effort. Please consider making a contribution in your name or your student’s name.
Checks should be made payable to Lancaster High School. Contributions  should be mailed to Lancaster Junior Civitans Club, Lancaster High School, 617 Normandy Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
Contributors with at least a $25 donation will have their name engraved on a plaque that will be placed near the carved wooden Bruin.
