The land between the Indian Land firehouse on Six Mile Creek and Edwards Road was deforested by the contractor who built the new firehouse, in conjunction with a Lancaster County contractor.
I have contacted the federal government, the county government and U.S. Rep. Mick Mulvaney’s office about this.
A total of $1.7 million [from a FEMA grant] was spent on this project and the land was left in disrepair.
We, the citizens, helped pay for that project and we expect the land to be restored to the way it was before.
