Thousands of gallons of contaminated water stored in tanks on the streets of downtown Lancaster is heading for the city’s wastewater treatment plant on Lockwood Lane after tests showed the contamination levels were negligible.
The 38,000 gallons of water were removed last week from the flooded basement of CB’s Limited at 207 S. Main Street, the result of ruptured water lines under the Humana Insurance building in the same downtown block.
