Investigators are sorting out the details of a possible armed robbery of a pedestrian that happened Wednesday night, Dec. 19.

Lancaster Police Department Capt. Scott Grant said the robbery happened between 7 and 8 p.m. near the intersection of Wylie and Barr streets. No one was injured in the incident.

On Thursday morning several people were being interviewed in the case, he said.

“We are working a robbery of a person that happened last night,” Grant said. “I can’t tell you much, but it involves some juveniles. A couple of guys were walking home and some guys apparently showed them a gun and took a cell phone.”

Grant said investigators were in the process of interviewing at least three people Thursday morning, with plans to interview several more during the day.

“We should have this worked out by this evening, but we have to get all these stories straight,” he said.

Grant also shot down rumors circulating Thursday morning about a gas station or convenience store that had been robbed within the last 24 hours.

“There hasn’t been a robbery like that,” he said.
