The city of Lancaster’s push to save paper and plastics from the landfills has caught on throughout the county.
Marty Cauthen, the city’s solid waste director, spoke at City Council’s meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 9, about six schools asking if the city can provide them with recycling containers and pick-up service.
The schools are Andrew Jackson Middle, Andrew Jackson High, Clinton Elementary, Heath Springs Elementary, Indian Land High and McDonald Green Elementary.
