City adopts new zoning ordinance

The city of Lancaster is simplifying its method for dealing with annexations and zonings.
Lancaster City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to approve final reading of an ordinance to consider an annexation and its accompanying zoning request at the same time. Council used to  vote on a zoning designation after the property has been annexed into the city.
