Black History Banquet Feb. 17

The Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Association will hold a Black History Banquet at 6 p.m. Feb. 17 in the Mount Moriah Fellowship, Education and Worship Center, 3045 John G. Richards Road, Camden. Lynnwood free community meal

Lynnwood United Methodist Church, 1753 Lynwood Drive, Lancaster, has a free community meal 5:30-6:30 p.m. on the second, third and fourth Tuesdays of each month. A free bag of groceries is available for each family.

Free community meal cancelled this month

There will be no free community meal at Zion United Methodist Church on Feb. 21. The meals will continue next month.

Cedar Rock holds church training

Zion UMC chicken bog, bake sale

Zion United Methodist Church, 1665 Zion Road, Lancaster, will hold the annual chicken bog fundraiser and bake sale from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. Feb. 23. Dine-in and carryout plates are $7 and include chicken bog, green beans, slaw and bread. Delivery is available for 5 plates or more. All proceeds benefit the church’s building fund. Lion of Judah God’s Holy Temple, 120 E. Gay St., Lancaster, will hold a Friday Night Fire Service at 7 p.m. Feb. 23.

Yard, bake sale and breakfast

Camp Creek Baptist Church, 998 Potter Road, Lancaster, will hold a yard and bake sale and breakfast at 7 a.m. Feb. 24. All proceeds benefit the church’s Senior Adult Joy Group.

No Greater Love Conference

Reasonz 2 Smile Events will host the second No Greater Love Conference from noon-4 p.m. Feb. 24 in USC Lancaster’s Stevens Auditorium, 476 Hubbard Drive, Lancaster.

Admission is $5. Speakers include apostle Altheresa Good Howard, evangelist Betsy Thomas, minister Rosalind Elliot and Jackie Grove. Heath Springs Baptist Church, 101 S. Main St., Heath Springs, will host a one-day conference on Bible creationism by Dr. Ron Marks, professor of chemistry at North Greenville University, on Feb. 25.
