Buford had a tough night on the hardwood Friday as the Jackets dropped a pair of Conference III-A games to Chesterfield.
In the opener, the Lady Rams rolled to a 76-29 win over the Lady Jackets.
The CHS boys capped the league sweep, taking a 62-44 victory in the nightcap.
In the opener, the Lady Rams bolted to a 26-6 first-period lead and held a 42-10 lead at the break on the way to the win.
Victoria McVicker hit 19 points and Whitney Owensby netted 18 to pace the CHS girls.
Buford was led by Kendall Boone’s seven points. Kirsten Cauthen chipped in six points.
Whitney Funderburk tallied five. Janay Blackmon and Carley Bailey added four points each. Daphne Honeycutt added three points for the BHS girls.
In the boys’ game, the Rams took a 20-10 lead after one period and steadily built their margin on the way to the 18-point win.
Chesterfield led 31-18 at the break and used an 18-10 third-period run to forge a 49-28 edge with a period to play.
Wayne Blakeney led Buford with 12 points. Logan Segee and Qua Reid each scored eight. Marcus Brown, Anthony Williams, Desmond McGriff and Jacob Jamison added three points each.
Logan McDowell and Andrew Riner tallied two points apiece.
Buford returns to hoops play Monday when the Jackets venture to Great Falls to face the Red Devils.
BHS is back home Friday to meet McBee High School at 6 p.m.
