The Lancaster County Parks and Recreation mites stars saw their postseason football hopes end with a tough 6-0 loss to Chester at Lewisville High School on Tuesday, Nov. 19.

Chester scored a lone touchdown and held off the Lancaster stars to advance to the Central District championship game at Lancaster Memorial Stadium on Thursday, Nov. 21.

“We just couldn’t get anything going out there,” Lancaster County mites all-star coach Charlie Cook said. “It was a tough loss and a tough way to end our season.”

Cook saluted the play of Ronj Stevenson, Trevor McManus and Tyrek Sistare.

The Lancaster County mites went 1-1 in the single-elimination Central District football playoffs.

The Lancaster County mites rolled to a 30-0 win over Tega Cay at Rock Hill’s Hargett Park on Saturday, Nov. 16.

Running back Tyrek Sistare sparked the Lancaster County mites stars, ages 11-12, with three touchdown runs in the lopsided win.

Sistare had two scoring runs of 70 yards and also added a pair of two-point conversion runs.

Sistare also had a 50-yard scoring dash in the Lancaster County mites all-stars’ victory over the TC stars.

Chase Dougherty sprinted 40 yards for another LC score and added a two-point conversion run.

Trevor McManus also added a two-point conversion run in the Lancaster County mites stars’ win.

Wy’Quan Massey and Dougherty each had an interception to spark the mites stars’ defense in the 30-point shutout.

The two Lancaster County small fry all-star football teams were eliminated in the Central District playoffs on Saturday, Nov. 16 at Fort Mill High School.

The Lancaster County small fry North all-stars dropped a 6-0 loss to Tega Cay in the opening game at Bob Jones Stadium in Fort Mill.

The Lancaster County small fry South stars dropped a 14-6 loss to Fort Mill.

South small fry quarterback Dalton Starnes scored on a sneak for the South all-stars’ lone score.
