Two weeks ago, members of the Lancaster County Council voted to adopt a smoke-free indoor workplace law that takes effect on March 1, 2013.
The major voluntary health organizations would like to thank council members for their efforts to protect Lancaster County workers, residents and visitors by adopting this law.
The U.S. surgeon general, our nation’s top health official, determined there is no risk-free level of exposure to secondhand smoke.
