Census error costly

Lancaster City Council got a reminder or warning from a S.C. Budget and Control Board official Tuesday night of what might happen if the state severely undercounts its residents again.

Will Roberts visited council Tuesday night and gave a presentation on the dire situation the state might face after the 2010 U.S. Census.

“In South Carolina, people don’t really understand the census, especially in its rural areas,” he said.
