Carolina Cubs open season on Sunday

The Carolina Cubs open their Carolina Community All-Star Baseball League (CABL) home season Sunday with a 4 p.m. game with the Chapin BlueJays.

The Cubs, which include former area prep players, play all of their home games at Republic Field, 500 Dearborn St., in Great Falls.

Led by coach Kelvin Whitener, the Cubs finished last season with an 18-2 record, losing in the semifinal round of the league playoffs.

They play all their home games at 4 p.m.
