Candidates should live in our area

Our local elections are over for a while, but we learned something that lingers: a candidate’s residence is not necessarily where he or she lives, but where he or she registers.
What is bothersome with this is that when we are electing someone to represent the area where we live, we want that someone to be from our area, to actually live there. There must be some way to correct the existing regulations.
