Buford Middle wrestlers shine in state qualifier at Fort Mill High

Buford Middle School wrestling coach Kris Self said the Jackets’ effort in the middle school state qualifying tournament on Saturday at Fort Mill High School was a “banner day.”

“It was really an outstanding day for us,” Self said.

The Jackets, 13-3, placed nine wrestlers in the medal round – five in the championship bracket and four in the consolation round.
