Buford High engineering class deserves praise

-A A +A

I would like to say thank you to the parents and staff for the support given to the Buford High School’s engineering program on Dec. 9.
Kurt Weeks and his class had a fantastic presentation and the students did an excellent job of presenting themselves and their projects.
Each year Buford High School has a presentation ceremony for the first engineering class.
The students build models of miniature golf courses and present them as if they are truly trying to sell their product and ideals to our community.
Mr. Weeks’ engineering class is one of the few real-world classes taught in high school on a college level.
Each year I have seen more and more parents come to these presentations and am truly very thankful that these parents are showing great interest.
The models will be on display at the school district office for any one who would like to see just what Buford High School engineering class has to offer.
Thanks again to the parents, Don Phipps, Ricki Phipps, the Rev. Benjamin Nolen and the supporting staff of Buford High School.
