Brumfield receives Order of the Palmetto

Founders Federal Credit Union President and CEO Bruce Brumfield has received the Order of the Palmetto, South Carolina’s highest civilian honor.
Sen. Greg Gregory (R-16) presented Brumfield the award on Tuesday, April 9, on behalf of Gov. Nikki Haley.
Gregory read Haley’s letter that commended Brumfield on his unwavering commitment to service and dedication to empowering and improving the lives of citizens in South Carolina.
First awarded in 1971 by Gov. John West, the Order of the Palmetto is a once-in-a-lifetime award honoring extraordinary lifetime achievement and service to the state and nation.
A native of Bogalusa, La, Brumfield has had a 25-year career with Founders Federal Credit Union, serving as its president and CEO since 2003.
Founders Federal Credit Union is one of the largest credit unions in South Carolina, with $1.6 billion in assets, 24 offices and more than 185,000 members.
