It was only a jamboree, but it closed on an exciting note.
Myers Park of Charlotte had one final shot to pull out a comeback win, but Mustangs’ rifled-armed quarterback Ross Jeffries’ 37-yard pass into the end zone fell incomplete and Lancaster held on for a 12-7 win over MPHS.
The Mustangs’ drive came after the Bruins, down 7-6, drove 58 yards in eight plays to score the winning touchdown.
