A wide spread power outage in Lancaster County about midday Friday, Jan. 17, impacted some 3,900-plus Duke Energy customers, but the problem was quickly resolved, said District Manager Rick Jiran.
Power outages were reported from Market Street and Chesterfield Avenue to Memorial Park Road.
“What we had was a pole on Sprindale Road, something leaked on those wires causing a fire, tripping the breaker,” Jiran said. “We had to go ahead and shut that circuit down in order to make the necessary repairs. Everybody’s back on and everything is fine.”
