KERSHAW – Kershaw Town Council has called a special meeting for 6 p.m. tonight, April 16, at the Kershaw Recreation Center.

New business on the meeting agenda includes the Town Hall design. A new Town Hall is under construction now.

Council members also plan to discuss the town election.

The town needs to hold a special election after the April 6 resignations of Tommy Baker as mayor, and his mother, Rose Marie Baker, and Jabo Sims as council members.

The council, which now consists of Councilmen Wade Hunter, Eddie Coates, Morris Russell and Randy Seegars, will also discuss personnel for the town's sewer plant in a closed-door session.

The meeting is open to the public and public comment will be held before the council discusses its new business.
