Matthew Keller died Sunday after the motorcycle he was driving collided with a pickup at the intersection of Camp Creek and Daystar roads.

The motorcyclist, who's name wasn't available early Monday afternoon, was pronounced dead at the scene. Nobody else was injured, said Lance Cpl. Jeff Gaskin of the S.C. Highway Patrol.

The accident happened just before 5 p.m.

The man was traveling west on Camp Creek road when he collided at the intersection with Raymond Estes, who was driving the 2001 Dodge pickup.

Estes was on Daystar Road and was trying to turn left onto Camp Creek Road, Gaskin said.

When the vehicles collided, the motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and then struck by a 1993 Buick four-door, which was also traveling west on Camp Creek Road.

Ronald Bass, the driver of the Buick, was traveling with a passenger.

Estes was traveling alone.

All occupants of either the Buick Dodge were wearing seat belts.

The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet, Gaskin said.

The accident remains under investigation.
