BHS hoops have familiar, new look

The 2007-08 Buford High School basketball teams feature a blend of the old and new.The familiar face in the Jackets’ hoops program is veteran girls coach Michelle Vestal, while the BHS boys have a new look in coach Jeff Moyer.Vestal, in her eighth season at Buford, is hoping the Lady Jackets can improve on a 1-21 mark.Buford returns its top scorer in sophomore performer Brittany McCarter, an all-region and all-county pick who averaged 12.7 points and 4.5 rebounds a game last season.McCarter will be joined by senior guards Amanda Truesdale and Marquisha Hayden.Vestal, assisted by Susan
