Auction of old Pageland hotel delayed

PAGELAND – The auction of the old Blakeney Hotel in downtown Pageland has been put on hold until later this month.

One of Pageland’s oldest landmarks was set to be auction March 14, but has been postponed until March 28, said owner Robert Scherer.

“The auction had so many inquires that they wanted to devote more time to publicity,” Scherer said. “That’s the only word that I’ve gotten.”
