Alexis King paces CPTC AAU National qualifiers

Alexis King, a 13-14 girls competitor with the Columbus Parker Track Club, led the way as the CPTC qualified 11 athletes to compete in the AAU Nationals to be held at Turner Stadium in Houston, Texas.

King captured the team’s lone gold medal as she won the triple jump. Tyrek Salley captured a silver in the boys 11-12 race walk.

The CPTC earned 32 awards, with seven medals and 25 ribbons.

The awards breakdown was a gold medal, silver medal, five bronze, four 4th places, two 5th places, nine 6th places, three 7th places and seven 8th places.

11-12 girls

11-12 boys
