AJ, LHS battle for Classic title

Andrew Jackson and Lancaster met late Saturday afternoon to decide the title in the first Rose City Classic at Lancaster Memorial Stadium.

The Vols entered the clash with LHS with two wins, while Lancaster had a pair of (2-all) ties with county foes Buford and Indian Land.

Buford and Indian Land met in the third match Saturday, with Lancaster and AJ slated to play in the final match late Saturday afternoon.

The final two matches were completed after the paper’s deadline for the Sunday edition. See Wednesday’s edition for a report.
