Andrew Jackson High senior Caroline Phillips’ two-run single in the seventh inning lifted the Lady Volunteers to a 5-3 win over Lancaster High School on Monday night at the LHS softball field.Phillips, on the night, had a hit and drove in three runs.Lancaster held a 3-1 edge after three innings, but the AJ girls tallied single runs in the fourth and fifth innings to tie the game.Phillips’ two-run single in the seventh put AJ up 5-3 and winning pitcher Chelsea Vincent retired the Lady Bruins in their final at-bat.Vincent fanned 11.
