As the demand for paper has declined, an area paper plant has decided to extend its furloughs for more than 100 employees.
AbitibiBowater has made plans to continue its furloughs for 123 employees who have been temporarily out of work since March 1.
The plant, located just across the Lancaster County line in Catawba in York County, had already shut down one of its three paper machines for one month in an effort to save money.
