Eight Lancaster County schools met standards in 2007 for academic progress.
The measure is known as Adequate Yearly Progress, or AYP, and is under the federal No Child Left Behind Act.
The state Department of Education released the data last week.
The federal government's goal is that by 2014, all students will be well prepared for the next grade – meaning they score "proficient" or "advanced" on their state's standardized tests.
AYP measures schools' progress toward meeting that goal.
