Sheriff Barry Faile said he was sworn in as sheriff on Jan. 5, and on Jan. 6, Operation New Year’s Resolution began.
At a press conference Thursday at the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, and flanked by elected officials and local and state law enforcement officials, Faile talked about the operation, which netted 218 arrests, drugs, guns and $27,000.
Crimes range from criminal domestic violence to driving offenses and drug charges.
Faile said 119 arrests came as the result of checkpoints, warrant sweeps and specialized narcotics operations.
