2013 Shrine Bowl coaches set for annual all-star game

Tommy Brown of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School in Orangeburg  and Lee County’s (N.C.) Burton Cates are the respective head coaches for the 77th annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.

The annual high school football all-star game, which features the Carolinas top senior players, will be played Dec. 21 at Wofford College’s Gibbs Stadium in Spartanburg.

Game proceeds benefit the Shrine Hospital in Greenville for burned and cripple children.

The 2013 game kicks off at 1 p.m. at Gibbs Stadium.
