15 more arrests made in drug roundup

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office's Operation Rolling Thunder continued over the weekend with more arrests.

Twelve people had been arrested in the drug operation on Friday, with sheriff's officials saying that arrests would continue Saturday and Sunday.

The sheriff's office conducted two search warrants on Friday and confiscated drugs, guns and stolen stereos.

Officers had warrants for 60 charges against 40 suspects. They also arrested several people not wanted on warrants, but who may have been at the homes where other wanted suspects were, said sheriff's office spokesman Tom Holland.

"There are more warrants outstanding," Holland said Tuesday.

The following were charged as part of Operating Rolling Thunder:

- Kevin Darrell Powers, 31, 1679 Logan Terry Road, distribution of marijuana

- Bryon Jon Bittle, 56, 1824 Hoke Road, growing marijuana

- Karl Brandon Gardner, 21, 6596 Springs St., Kershaw, distribution of marijuana within 1/2-mile of school and distribution of marijuana, simple possession of marijuana, resisting arrest

- Roger Ross, 57, 1955 Steele Hill Road, distribution of crack cocaine

- James Vincent Perrine, 32, distribution of crack cocaine

- Kevin Dewayne Johnson, 21, two counts of distribution of marijuana, including one in proximity of a school, failure to stop for blue light, resisting arrest

- Kiwanna Nicole Sowell, 29, 1999 Pinta Drive, distribution of marijuana

- Charles William Rice IV, 17, 7938 Henry Harris Road, simple possession of marijuana

- Jemarcus KenDarryl Coffey, 18, 6956 James Towne Road, simple possesion of marijuana, second offense

- John William Howard, 20, 1174 Harrisburg Road, Fort Mill, distribution of schedule IV narcotic

- Christopher Conrad, 27, 2458 Downey Drive, possession of cocaine

- Kenny Altman, 49, 1763 Evans Drive, distribution of crack cocaine

- James H. Boyd Jr., 44, 785 Starcliffe Circle, growing/manufacturing marijuana

- Wilbert Neil Stradford, 55, Van Wyck, possession of marijuana

- Charles Henry Davis, 39, 2543 Great Falls Highway, possession of a pistol

The names of the 12 people arrested in the first round of the roundup were published in Sunday's issue.
