Administrative Assistant ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Responsible for the day-to-day administrative duties and office management; reports directly to the LCEDC President and serves as the President's administrative aide and office manager. Duties include daily management of the LCEDC office; preparing Board and subcommittee packets; posting agendas and minutes, and posting on the Corporation calendar; scheduling complex meetings with clients and staff; monitor the Department's budget; paying bills; assisting to prepare Board items; working with confidential information; and providing administrative support to the LCEDC President. Requires organization, flexibility, and professionalism; must be able to provide excellent customer service with an energetic and positive outlook, occasionally attend public meetings that last into the early evening hours. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and 1 year of responsible secretarial experience; excellent writing and oral communication skills are essential; knowledge of basic economic development policies, procedures, and operations is preferred; must be able to perform tasks while maintaining confidentiality; a valid driver license; type/key 55 words per minute net; current certifications in office software programs is preferred.
