Public meeting on permits for recycler Aug. 7
DHEC to hold Pressley’s meeting
The S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) has scheduled a meeting for public input on a draft air- quality permit for Pressley’s Recycling Center in Indian Land.
The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, in the Indian Land Middle School cafeteria, 8361 Charlotte Highway.

The Pleasant Valley Fire Department has good news for residents at the northern end of the Panhandle: Its new substation is now in service with a fire engine ready to roll.
