Crate Sportsman
Jacob “Smooth” Catoe and Jeffrey “Red Rocket” McGuirt were in the front row of the Crate Sportsman main event. When the green flag dropped to start the race, Catoe, McGuirt, Travis Payne and Kye Norwood all roared into turn one. Exiting turn two, Catoe battled to the lead in front of a hard-charging McGuirt and Payne. Catoe started to pull away from the rest of the field as McGuirt and Payne dueled for second place. As the laps ticked off, Catoe went on to capture his first main event win of the year.

CHESTER – I-77 Speedway is set to host the Carolina Clash Super Late Model series Saturday, July 14.
This will mark the series first visit to the 33-year-old speedway. The stars of the Carolina Clash will battle it out on the high banks of I-77 Speedway for the $4,000 top prize. With no other touring series in action on Saturday, a large number of drivers are expected. Luke Roffers, the current points leader for 2012 will be there, along with Dennis “Rambo” Franklin, Jeff Smith, Ricky Weeks, Johnny Pursley, Ross Bailes and $20,000 man Scott Autry.

Saturday night, July 14, should be an exciting night at Lancaster Motor Speedway with seven divisions competing in the Vintage Venegance part 2.
During this special race, the No. 45 Purple Mustang of Marty Spittle will have to start in the rear of the field after winning three in a row. Spittle charged from the rear of the field Saturday night on his way to winning his third straight.
