• Officers investigated a report of a woman who allegedly pointed a gun at another woman Dec. 14. Several officers spoke with a 42-year-old woman who said a woman she knew had just pulled a silver gun on her, waved it in her face and then drove away.
Police found the suspect at her Chesterfield Avenue home. She said the other woman had called her to ask if she was having an affair with her husband.

• Deputies and firefighters responded to a structure fire in the 1700 block of Lynwood Drive on Aug. 23. A passerby called 911 around 8 p.m. after noticing smoke coming from the home. Members of the Gooches, McDonald Green and Elgin fire departments put the fire out. Deputies later spoke with a member of the county's fire service who said the fire did not seem suspicious. He said the fire started in an electrical outlet, which may have overloaded.

A bouncer and a women were both attacked at a night spot on Great Falls Highway just over a week ago.
Donald Keith Snipes, 32, 2055 Powell Ave., was charged July 9 with assault, criminal domestic violence and malicious injury to property.
Multiple people told deputies that Snipes attacked his girlfriend and a bouncer at The Spoke Bar and Grill between 11 and 11:30 p.m. that night, according to an incident report from the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office.

A Lancaster teen told officers he narrowly missed being shot by another teen early Wednesday morning.
Lancaster police officers spoke with the 17-year-old teen at Caroline Court a little before 10 a.m. The teen told officers the shooting happened hours earlier, sometime after 1 a.m., according to a Lancaster Police Department incident report.
The shooting allegedly happened moments after the victim and three other people were walking together along a path next to the basketball court, the report said.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office is hoping the public can help find a missing 68-year-old woman.
Lancaster resident Edith Cauthen was reported missing Wednesday by her family, according to a sheriff’s office press release. Her family said Cauthen was last seen walking near her home on Old Lynwood Circle in Lancaster about a month ago.
The family said Cauthen suffers from medical conditions and requires special care.

A group of people called police last week after a man pointed a gun at their car behind an elementary school.
Lancaster police officers responded to Lancaster High School at 9:16 a.m. July 8 and spoke to the four people who were in the car, according to a police department incident report.
The driver, a 45-year-old Lancaster woman, told officers she was picking up her son from S.C. Vocational Rehabilitation, located at 1150 Roddey Road behind North Elementary School, when the man pointed the gun.
