Word of Wisdom and prayer

God’s Holy Temple Church, 120 E. Gay St., will have Word of Wisdom and prayer at 2 p.m. today. The event is for seniors, but all are welcome.

Revival services

- Red Hill Baptist Church, 2020 Red Hill Road, will conclude revival services at 7 p.m. today. Guest speaker is the Rev. Ricky Haile of New Zion Baptist Church.

Vacation Bible Schools

- Oak Hill Baptist Church, 6437 Oak Hill Church Road, will kick off VBS with water games and ice cream at 6 p.m. today. VBS is 6 to 8:30 p.m. today through July 28. The theme is “Cave Quest.” All ages are welcome.

- Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 4357 Kershaw Camden Highway, Heath Springs, will have VBS from 6 to 8 p.m. today through July 28. The theme is “Submerged: The Dive Begins: Finding Truth Below the Surface.”

Dixon to address IL Democrats

Pastor Thomas Dixon, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, will discuss his campaign agenda at the Indian Land Democratic Club meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 28, at Indian Land High School, 8063 River Road. Dixon will challenge Republican Sen. Tim Scott in the general election Nov. 8.
